Thanks for choosing Kalahari Spitbraai & Catering for your upcoming event. You can be assured that our staff and management are fully committed to provide a provisional service and absolute unforgettable time. In order for us to do our best, please take time and read the following guidelines to make sure that all your requirements are understood.
PAYMENTS: We require a 60 % non refundable deposit within 5 days to secure booking. Please contact us for confirmation that date is still available before paying deposits. All outstanding balances need to be paid 7 days before function date. We reserve the right to cancel your booking without any liability to you and without any obligation to refund your deposit if you do not pay full outstanding balance by due date. Immediate full payment for short dated functions If full amount is not received, the booking will be cancelled and DATE made available for other customers. All prices are subject to change due to unexpected change in product cost without notice.
CUTLERY AND CROCKERY: All cutlery and crockery, chafing dishes remains the property of KALAHARI SPITBRAAI AND CATERING. In the event of lost / damage or breakage. Clients will be charge for replacement or repair value of any nature. SPITBRAAIS: We prepare the LAMB on a Gas-Operated Spit, therefore it cannot be operate in the WIND. Please make sure that there is a secure place in case of Windy and Stormy days.
LABOUR: Please note Labour cost will be added to formal quote, and depends on the amount of people attending event.
AREA OF EVENT: Travel cost will be added to formal quote, and depends on distance to venue.
MAIN MEAL AS ARRANGE: Our CHEF will be at your Function or Premises 1-4 hours before the Main Meal and stay at you Function / Premises 1 Hour (Depends on Spitbraai Option). Should your Function run late, PLEASE CORRESPOND WITH THE CHEF beforehand on whether they will be able to accommodate you and if so how much longer you would like them to stay. You will be charge a additional cash fee of R50.00 per half an hour if you do not make arrangements with Chef for Functions running late.
SERVING FOOD: We do not allow guest to dish their own meat. Our Chef will dish the meat to keep portion sizes. We ask that our Clients use their own discretion where guests dish themselves. We cater according portion sizes & can not be held responsible for guests over dishing. We do not clear tables or served guest. Please ask your Guest to return all Cutlery and Crockery to the Chef we will highly appreciate it During November & December we have a price increase of R10.00 p.p on all Spit & Braai Menus.
EXTRA RENTALS AND LABOUR: Cutlery and Crockery (Plate,Knife, Fork) - R15.50 per person. Desert (Desert Bowl and Spoon) - R7.50 per person. Chafing Dish (Fuel Included) - R95.00 per unit Extra Waiters (clear tables/ help to dish (R550.00) per person (2 Hours max or additional fee will be charged)
WE CHARGE A OPTIONAL R950.00 PER FUNCTION FOR SPITBRAAI, LABOUR, TIME SPEND AND CHEF FEE FOR UP TOO 50 PEOPLE THIS WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR FORMAL QUOTE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE.
WE are HALAAL FRIENDLY and do not use any pork ingredients. Our Meat Supplier is FAIRFIELD BUTCHERY PAROW (Certified Halaal Butchery)
